It is announced that Nicki Minaj has given birth to her first child

Nicki Minaj is officially a mother. TMZ notes that on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the rapper welcomed her first child with her partner, Kenneth Petty. There’s no news on the gender or name of the baby just yet.

In July, with a series of maternity photos on Instagram, Minaj shared the news that she was expecting her first baby. “Preggers,” the articles she captioned.

Rapper began talking about pregnancy earlier this year, when a fan asked her to post baby bump pictures on Twitter. “Yes, in a few months, the world isn’t ready yet,” she wrote.

Minaj announced her marriage to Petty during the Queen Radio episode last year. “We got our marriage certificate,” she said. “I think I’ve got everything I’ve been wanting to do, just peace. It’s been so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to sacrifice it for anybody or something.”

Minaj’s news of welcoming her first child comes a little over a year after she first hinted that she might be pregnant on Chance the Rapper’s “Zanies and Fools” track.

Minaj snapped on the July 2019 track, “He’s the Clyde to my Bonnie,’ trying to walk down the aisle and be a mommy./Ooh, I remember when I cried out, ‘Why me?’/Now I wouldn’t change my life for Armani.”

In 2018, the rapper opened up to ELLE to be single. “I recall feeling like I could do something in my life at one point,” she said. “And somewhere along the way, I just started guessing myself for some reason. As soon as I realized that I could really live and breathe, and eat and sleep, and walk and chat without getting a boyfriend, something clicked on me.”
